Russian pianist Daniil Trifonov extends his Deutsche Grammophon discography with yellow label’s first ever recording of Franz Liszt’s complete concert Études
Transcendental is the new solo release by Daniil Trifonov. The repertoire is Liszt’s Complete Concert Etudes. These Etudes remain amongst the most challenging piano pieces ever composed – and are rarely recorded or performed. Enjoy the “Mazeppa” from Liszt's Transcendental Etudes in this video.
A DVD containing two new films by Christopher Nupen, about pianist and composer Daniil Trifonov: a portrait film "The Magics of Music" and a performance film of a recital in the elegant Teatro Accademico in Castelfranco Veneto, Italy. Together they give an intimate portrait of the artist both on and off the stage.
The films have won two international prizes, Silver Medal at the New York Film and Television Festival and the Accolade Award.

Last night I listened to him again on YouTube – he has everything and more. What he does with his hands is technically incredible. It’s also his touch – he has tenderness and also the demonic element. I never heard anything like that.
Norman Lebrecht – Slipped Disc:
A pianist for the rest of our lives ... This is a major artist, phenomenally gifted and almost fully formed, with fresh ideas and a winning stage presence that is quite irresistible from the moment he bounds through the door and sits at the keyboard, unable to contain his need to share.
