Mashable is partnering with the Wildlife Conservation Society and New York Aquarium to host a summer #MashMeet at the NYA out at Coney Island! 

NYA will offer after-hours access to their current public spaces on Saturday, June 13th from 6:30 - 8:30 p.m. Prizes for the best ‘grammers of the night include a whale watching tour of NY area waters, and tickets to a Nat Geo Live event happening in the fall. Mashable will also showcase many of the meetup photos on their website and Instagram account following the event.

We also want to encourage participants to join the #NYisWild campaign, to celebrate 120 years of saving wildlife. The city-wide photo safari takes you on an adventure through the Bronx Zoo, New York Aquarium, Central Park Zoo, Prospect Park Zoo and Queens Zoo. One lucky Instagrammer will win a trip to Belize to witness the Wildlife Conservation Society’s work first-hand.
Mashable staff will be at the Surf Ave. entrance of the aquarium for check-in. Food and beverages will be available for purchase inside. **There is no camera equipment or large props allowed in the aquarium. Please be respectful of the space and of the animals.

Last week Mashable hosted its “Step Into Fashion” event to celebrate summer fashion in style with Mashable’s first Fashion Editor, David Yi. 

We had about 100 members of the fashion, marketing and PR industries in attendance, with beats by NY-based Timo+Alan. Special thanks to Peroni and Bombay Sapphire, who provided drinks for the evening.
