i woke up in the middle of the night and found a dead death-metal rat sleeping deep inside my typewriter so i tried to take him out with my manuscript pencil but his long black hair and Spandex pants kept getting stuck on the ‘’X’’ key so i decided to continue my novel anyway but every time i hit the ‘’h’’ key the word Hell Awaits kept showing up on the white page which was hugely disappointing as my novel was a serious deconstruction of Jeremiah Gotthelf’s The Cheese Factory in the Hamlet, so I was suddenly confronted with not only trying to correlate late 20th century Thrash Metal with early 19th century Swiss literature, but also trying to figure out why the hell at the heart of every damn thing lies a sleeping rock rat.
