YOU ME & OMD – LIVESTREAM GIG ANNOUNCED

YOU ME & OMD is a livestream concert in aid of OMD’s hard-working crew who have not had any work since February and face huge uncertainty for the future as a consequence of the COVID-19 pandemic. The concert will take place on 19th June 2021 at 9pm UK time and will feature selections from the band’s seminal album Architecture & Morality as well as plenty of the greatest hits.

YOU ME & OMD – postponed

We are really sorry to say that after numerous conversations we have taken the heartbreaking decision to postpone the YOU ME & OMD livestream event to March 27th. Whilst there is nothing in the government’s new regulations that technically prevents us from proceeding with the event, we feel it would be against the spirit of the fight against the virus to allow band members who live in a Tier 3 area to be travelling and working in a venue alongside crew members who have travelled from other parts of the country. Similarly we are concerned about the movement of the audience. Additionally, whilst Andy’s symptoms remain extremely mild and his isolation period is due to end in the coming days, it would be irresponsible to resume rehearsals with the rest of the band and crew. This now means that the crew’s next work opportunity is 6 months away. Whilst refunds for the event are available, we urge you (if you can) to keep your ticket for the rescheduled date in March. We are very excited to announce our return to the stage with “YOU ME & OMD”, a live-streamed gig in aid of our fantastic road crew who have not had any work since February and who face an extremely uncertain future.YOU ME & OMD will take place on Saturday 24th October at 9pm UK time. The show will feature selections from Architecture & Morality as well as plenty of greatest hits. Tickets are on sale now. There are 4 classes of ticket available: – Livestream Access– Livestream Access + exclusive pre-sale for the band’s next UK, Ireland, Europe & American tours (to be announced subsequently)– Join the remote audience via Zoom – you will appear on screens in the venue, the band will see you from the stage. There will also be a charity raffle for the ultimate bundle of OMD test pressings. Tickets cost £2 and all proceeds will go to charities chosen by the band and those who work closely with them.
