My name is Robert Thetheral and I used to be a smokaholic. LOL just kidding!

I used to smoke around 10-20 a day (full strength)….20-30 on a stressful day! When I was a kid I used to be in all the sports teams at school….football, hockey, rugby. I used to be 3rd in the county at cross country running and school best at 800m and 1500m.

Until I got into sixth form at about 17-18 I discovered cigarettes. About 10 years of smoking heavily, I realised when my wife Joanne and I had our first kid, that I couldn’t move around like I used to. It really hit me when James (our little boy) got to the age of three and started kicking a football around.

I found I was COMPLETELY out of breath and having rings run around me by a three year old. I went to the doctors and got the usual tosh…patches….gum….’will power’ (LOL). None of which worked, my friend mentioned to me in the office…

An electronic…..what?!

Ecigs….how and why did I end up there?!

Naturally, the first thought that came to my mind was….what the hell is an electronic cigarette? I decided to go away, do a bit of research and after a couple of long nights searching through forums such as www.ukvapers.org (friendly guys over there), I went out and bough my first ecig. Oh, you’ll also need some e-liquid.

What is e-liquid? Well, the main components of e-liquid are PG/VG, water, food flavouring and distilled water. Any reputable e-liquid supplier will be able to tell you exactly what goes into the e-liquid. I had a chat with a bloke in the pub the other day who told me, I had no idea what I was ‘smoking’ (it’s vaping, mate) and I pulled him out the reports Electronic Cigarettes LTD had sent me of what the e-liquid contained. Now that put in your pipe…and er smoke vape it!! There are two distinct, different types of ecig. The first is a ‘ciggy like’ electronic cigarette like you get from Ecigwizard.com. Then there’s the bigger batteries, ecig mods, and all sorts of weird and wonderful devices you can get your hands on. Make sure if you are going to use a mod, you get the right ‘high VG’ juices not forgetting a high end tank like the Aspire Cleito Exo, which is now available at www.vapeshop.co.uk.

Roll on 18 months ago, and since then I’ve become a bit of an expert with an ecigs and e-liquid. I’ve set this site up to try and offer a little advice on those looking to maybe switch to ecigs (they aren’t for everyone). The pros, the cons. What to look out for, and some recommendations on decent products and companies.
