Born January 11, 1957, in Krems, Lower Austria.
Trained as a fashion designer and seamstress, later fashion, architectural, and art journalist.
Literary publications in newspapers, exhibition catalogues, literary magazines, and radio; also contributions to various anthologies including Der Geschmack der Fremde (2004; The Taste of Elsewhere).
Lives as a writer in Vienna.

1995 Theodor Körner Prize
2002 and 2004 Office of the Federal Chancellor National Grant for Literature
