More about Markus Köhle
Studied German and Romance Languages in Innsbruck und Rome, then taught German as a Foreign Language in Tunis, presenter and organiser of the Bierstindl Poetry Slam in Innsbruck, project assistant at Innsbruck University, work on a doctoral thesis entitled ‘Literary Life in Tyrol’.
Percussionist and ‘word whirler’ of the musical-literary duo Abendroth (with Jörg Zemmer), collaboration with Mieze Medusa (Doris Mitterbacher), old hand at poetry slams – ‘writes in order to be heard’.
Several publications in book form, editor of the photo magazine flash, reviews for, among others, the magazine the gap, the Literaturhaus am Inn and the street newspaper 20er.
Lives in Vienna.
