Studied Jurisprudence.
Free-lance writer, numerous prose works, poems, dramas and radio plays, intensive travelling.
Lives in Vienna.

1991 Österreichischer Würdigungspreis für Literatur (Austrian Prize in recognition of literary work)
1996 Literature Prize of the City of Vienna
1999 Anton Wildgans Prize of Austrian Industry
2007 Austrian Cross of Honour for Science and Art
