Kateřina Rudčenková was born in 1976 in Prague, Czech Republic. She is an author of poetry, prose and drama. She graduated at Jaroslav Jezek's Conservatoire in Song text and screenplay writing and at the Faculty of Economics and Management at the Czech Agriculture University in Prague.
She has written three poetry collections Ludwig (1999), Není nutné, abyste mě navštěvoval (2001; bilingual version of this collection ...nicht nötig, mich zu besuchen was published in Austria in 2002), Popel a slast (Ashes and Bliss, 2004) and a collection of stories called Noci, noci (Nights, Nights, 2004). Her theater play Niekur was published in 2007.
