Christian Gasser, b. 1963, publicist, book and radio author, co-editor of the comics magazine, Strapazin, lives in Lucerne. Numerous awards (including the Prix Europa Berlin and Third Coast International Audio Festival Chicago). He is among the most industrious promoters of the graphic novel in a German-speaking context. With “Blam! Blam! Und Du bist tot! Super- und andere Antihelden” (“Blam! Blam! And You Are Dead! Super and Other Anti-Heroes”), Christian Gasser has created a real gem: his thinking and writing advances the vivid and varied world of comic strips to create light, smart and entertaining stories where the focus is not just “mega power and giga complexes”, but also on maturing, identity problems, life crises and unrequited love stories.
