More about Eva Menasse

Born in Vienna in 1970. Studied History and German. Worked as a journalist for the news magazine “profil” and then as an editor at the daily newspaper “Frankfurter Allgemeine Zeitung”. Covered the trial of Holocaust denier David Irving in London. After a stay in Prague, she was a correspondent for cultural affairs in Vienna. She has been living as a writer in Berlin since 2003.

Published her first novel “Vienna” in 2005 (Vienna, translated by Anthea Bell, London: Weidenfield & Nicolson, 2006), followed by “Lässliche Todsünden” in 2009 and “Quasikristalle” in 2013 (both published by Kiepenheuer & Witsch, Cologne).
