More about Robert Prosser

Born in Tyrol in 1983. Studied comparative literature and cultural and social anthropology in Innsbruck and Vienna. Long active in the graffiti scene, extended stays in Asia, the Arabic countries and England. Since 2007, he has organized the Innsbruck reading series “Text ohne Reiter” (riderless text) together with Stefan Abermann, Martin Fritz and Martin Kozuh. His poems and prose have been published in anthologies and literary journals. He lives in Vienna as an author and performer.

2008 and 2009, stipend for literature from The Austrian Federal Ministry for Education, the Arts and Culture (BMUKK) and the State of Tyrol
2009 BMUKK author’s award
2010 Writer in residence at the Künstlerhaus Schloss Wiepersdorf and winner of the Floriana Literary Prize for excerpts from Geister und Tattoos
2010/2011 Austrian government scholarship for literature
2011 Writer in residence at the Prague Literature House
2012 Viennese writer’s scholarship (for Geister und Tattoos)
