In this collection of verses and condensed prose, his third and surely most mature work, Massimo Daviddi succeeds in using a raw and sober style to tell of the persistent autonomy of the most everyday objects, of the obscure feeling of a threat that throws its shadow onto our days suddenly marred by arbitrary violence. In the eponymous paragraph of the book, Daviddi invokes with poetic «pietas» the harsh working conditions but also the tenderness of shared moments in the existence of persons who live on the outskirts of cities and on the edge of history.
