אן מורגן נולדה בלונדון ב-1982. היא למדה ספרות אנגלית באוניברסיטת קיימברידג', ולאחר שסיימה בהצטיינות המשיכה ללימודי כתיבה יוצרת באוניברסיטת איסט-אנגליה. עבדה במשרה חלקית בעמותה לחקר ולשימור החברה הויקטוריאנית, ולאחר מכן התמסרה לכתיבה ולעריכה במשרה מלאה. הייתה עורכת משנה וכתבה במגוון גדול של כתבי עת, ביניהם Tatler, The Australian, Family History Monthly ו- Period Ideas. נוסף על כך היא כתבה מערכונים לתוכניות ולהצגות שונות, ואף זכתה בפרס "עשרה במיטה" של תיאטרון הקומדיה ב-2007. עבודות נוספות לתיאטרון כוללות עיבוד למעשיית הילדים 'בבושקה' וכן גרסה עדכנית למחזות מימי הביניים המבוססים על סיפורי התנ"ך. ספרה הראשון, 'שתיקה חנוקה בחצר', ראה אור בדצמבר 2008.
