Incentives - New Literature from Austria

readme.cc provides multilingual access to the latest Austrian literature. In collaboration with the Literaturhaus in Vienna the reading forum offers the latest insights about literature published in Austria.

Literary journalists and researchers introduce current new publications; reading samples allow for a closer look at the texts; short portraits of the authors complement the picture.

The range of information is currently available in five languages: German, English, French, Czech and Hungarian.

The Project "Incentives" targets at the internationalization of Austrian literature, respectively the translation of current texts.

Con il suo sottotitolo «Familienalbum» (album di famiglia), questo libro in dialetto bernese abbozza la propria forma: brevi testi ad effetto, tipici della scena dello spoken-word, vengono a comporre un tutt’uno aperto e intessuto di riferimenti. Senza peli sulla lingua, i membri della famiglia discutono di tutto e di più, cercando il calore di quello stare tra loro («unger üs»). L’autore lascia in sospeso, se questo permetta loro di avvicinarsi, superando le barriere generazionali e politiche, oppure se tutto ciò serva soltanto ad evitare lo sfacelo. In questo modo permette ai suoi personaggi di essere al contempo toccanti e inafferrabili.
