I am an American naturist living in Hawaii now. I was at this beach on my recent visit to Sydney in March 2005. I also visited Lady Jane, Obelisk, Cobblers, and the nude beach by La Perouse (forget the name). On all except Cobblers, I found gay males the vast majority. When I have been to nude beaches in Europe and even in my prudish America, there are always plenty of ladies around. Why is this not true of naturism in Sydney? I think nothing of telling people in Hawaii I go to nude beaches, but when I said this in Sydney, people assumed I was gay, which is not the case. What does the term "beat user" mean? Aloha. If I go to a beach orpark, I am there for the sole reason of enjoying the outdoors. The only time I want to see someone having sex, is with me in the privacy of a room somewhere or perhaps even a porn movie. The same applies to the "lovers lanes" that the straight community uses so frequently. I dont consider this to be homophobic. Get a room Submitted by David, from Dulwich Hill,on the 25/11/2005 8:14:56 AM Something I agree with Art on. Sex in a public place is not a right. It's not prudery on my part because I support (let's face it, I use) sex-on-premises venues and it's the right of gay people to pick up in bars, clubs etc. That's what they're there for. Beaches are for swimming and relaxing in the sun. Submitted by art, from victoria,on the 23/11/2005 5:59:25 PM My personal view is that if you need to have sex, go get a room. I don't see why you should have sex on public beaches whether you are gay or straight. SSONET.com.au : Sydney Star Observer http://www.ssonet.com.au/display.asp?ArticleID=4850
