From: Free Beach Action Date: Monday, 30 January 2006 8:00 AM Subject: Free Beach Letters VIII Hi Gerald, What a great day it was again today at Little Congwong! My wife and I have been going to this "hidden" beach for the past three years since we have enjoyed the scenery, the water, and the privacy provided by this area. We are not the types who could yet be identified as naturists or nudists, but since trying a few years ago, we've come to feel comfortable walking around without wet fabric and sand inside those private parts (that becomes so annoying) - this will make it difficult to go back to a beach where we should be wearing some sort of fabric again. We started by trying to avoid the nasty marks left on your body when wearing swimmers and now we are just happy to feel the freedom of "feeling the freedom". I know, we are a bit self conscious as well. Little Congwong is so secluded and private, it is impossible to think we will be offending anybody by putting ourselves on their view scope. We believe people that go to Little Congwong - with these naturist or nudist bunch - already know or have heard about the place so they just go there to join in or feel the atmosphere, (or they just want to know what all the fuss is about). Honestly, I think, those who may feel offended probably just arrived this very same day to Kingsford Smith! Sometimes it feels wrong to see people with clothes and having a swim where mostly everyone else is in the nude; but we respect their right to exercise privacy in a place where we respect the privacy of the naked body. This area is so small and so away from major centers and the more popular beaches; it's hard to believe people go there by mistake. Hopefully we are also helping the local commerce. Please keep us informed and let us know the best way to support you with this initiative to keep this beach a special place. Kind regards Juan & Katina Mellado Bexley
