From: Free Beach Action Date: Saturday, 4 February 2006 4:07 PM Subject: Over to Randwick City Council Dear Friends of Little Congwong Beach Dear Sydney Naturists After four months of campaigning for our beautiful free beach to become a legal nude beach we can now proudly say: 'we rest the case'. Over this summer we made many new friends and gathered 500 supporters. Around 450 beachgoers signed a petition (thanks Roland) and more than 50 joined our Free Beach Action group. 100% of the media coverage we received was very positive for naturism. All the letters of support and comments can be read in our campaign archive. More than 1,000 visitors logged on to our website. We demonstrated that we have nothing to hide, and that naturism is an accepted free beach culture in modern society. We now pass the documents on to Randwick City Council, and let our elected Councillors make an informed decision. Next week means 'back to school' for me, so I will retire from all this pro bono work, which at times turned almost into a fulltime job during the school holidays. Our group may, however, continue in our new forum to monitor and discuss naturist matters related to free beaches in NSW. I am extremely confident that we did all we could in this short period of time to promote healthy naturism and to save our beach; and that we return for the next season to legally bathe 'au naturel' at Little Congwong Beach. Thanks again for all your support; I'll see you on the beach! Regards Gerald Ganglbauer http://www.freebeach.info
