Born in Vienna in 1970, studied sinology and history in Vienna and China.
Worked for many years as a travel guide for study trips in the Far East. Alongside this, he made documentary films and wrote short stories. Since 2005 freelance TV and radio editor at ORF (Austrian Broadcasting Corporation). Since 2008 employed as the culture editor at ORF Radio Ö1.
