Projects like the Austrian Archives for Exile Studies need supporters. The organisation 'Friends of the Austrian Archives for Exile Studies' was founded in 2007 on the initiative of Dr. Rudolf Scholten and under the chairmanship of Dr. Raoul Kneucker. This independent society undertakes to support the Austrian Archives for Exile Studies as a research library and documentation centre, as a meeting place and as a place keeping alive the memory of those exiled authors. The Friends also support us in our tasks and our work, in particular:
- the critical development of materials relating to persecution and exile.
- the publication of academic works and didactic materials.
- the edition of literary and biographical texts, the 'memoir collection'.
- public education, particularly exhibitions and events about exiled authors.
- the creation and expansion of a service centre.
The Friends are supported by an advisory board of international academics, and by a committee consisting of representatives from the fields of literature and research, as well as members of the public and Friends. We write to our Friends and keep them up-to-date with what's going on.
We would like to thank all those who have supported and sponsored us so far:
