Born in Vienna in 1966, Hanno Millesi studied at the University of Vienna and the University of Applied Art, writing his dissertation On Photography in Viennese Actionism. In the 1990s, he was also an assistant to Hermann Nitsch and research associate at the Museum of Modern Art in Vienna. His novel Die vier Weltteile was nominated for the Austrian Book Prize 2018. Hanno Millesi lives in Vienna, working as a freelance writer.
