Intense Debate Introduces Gravatar Support

June 13, 2008 | Posted by Heather M.

The folks at comment tracking service Intense Debate have rolled out Gravatar support.

Now all Intense Debate users can choose to use a Gravatar instead of upload a file for their avatar. Just enter your email address and you’re done. Couldn’t get much simpler than that.

Gravatars used through Intense Debate appear on all comments that a user makes on every site powered by Intense Debate, along with links to the user’s social profiles and other info — all of which goes along nicely with the “global” in Gravatar.

  1. Thanks for the help spreading the word about IntenseDebate. We’re pretty excited about supporting Gravatars. Congrats on a great service! IntenseDebate uses have been requesting Gravatar support for some time now and we’re pleased to answer their calls.

Now if only I was submitting this comment using IntenseDebate… 🙂

    Thanks again,

There’s a weird error occuring on my magazine site. Look at the comments on this entry. In Internet Explorer my gravatar is different than the one I have picked as my gravatar. In Firefox, however, my selected gravatar shows. Whattup?

Still don’t get it. I meant, “Couldn’t get much simpler than that” Yes I agree, but gravatar will not display unique avatar anymore since you provide it right? For how many avatar? Explain me, please

  12. […] 2. Intense Debate: Intense Debate is a platform for commenting. It’s a pretty sleek service which lets you build up a reputation the more you comment, which is also based on voting comments up and down. You can have a global profile, and the comments themselves lay out in a nice threaded fashion. If you are installing or removing Intense Debate, there are ways to import or export your comments. I don’t use Intense Debate on my site, but I’ve used it hear and there (here on Battlemouth for example), and they have a great Intro video on their site. Like the idea of Intense Debate, but still want Gravatars? Well, luckily for you, they support Gravatars! […]

I am a blogger and I never used the Intense Debate I used Disqus commenting plug-in because Disqus commenting is too easy to use

IntenseDebate is not limit to blog owners. You can create an account with IntenseDebate to track the comments you’ve made. In addition you can have access to our other features like our commenter

  15. Intense Debate is amazing. I use it on all of my blogs and it really does increase the amount of REAL comments from readers, as there is an incentive for them to post. I like how you can post your name for a link. Thanks for the post.
