Beautiful!
I'm not a huge classsical music person but the Tallis song was stunning. I was able to individually purchase it on Amazon (see Amazon's "MP3 downloads") for .99 - it went automatically into my itunes.
The classic Tallis Fantasia
Despite the age of the release, this is still the standard. This recording maintains appropriate pace and acoustics for one of the most inspired pieces of spiritual music ever composed. Don't pass up on it even if recording quality is not up to modern standard.
owned the LP for years, didn't know it was from 64!
really beautiful versions of everything here. The Barber piece is why I bought it, but the Tallis/Williams is excellent as well. I think the sound quality is just fine with all the crackle and pop gone. CD might be cheaper than Itunes if you find it in the bargain bin. The LPs were designed to be bargains.
