Released the same year as his orchestra album Rainald Grebe & das Orchester der Versöhnung, Zurück zur Natur collects studio recordings of all the songs from songwriter and cabaret artist Grebe's stage projects "Alle reden vom Wetter — Die Klimarevue" (2008) and "Zurück zur Natur — Konzert für Städtebewohner" (2010). Together with his three-piece band Kapelle der Versöhnung, Grebe presents 16 satirical tracks which revolve around the climate change, "green" lifestyles, burnouts and alienation. Two of the songs ("China" and "Schweden") already appeared on his 2009 solo piano album Das Hongkongkonzert, but are given a new arrangement here.
