King were a cult-favorite, fab-haired band that lasted long enough in the ’80s to release a pair of hit albums of well-above-average pop. In fact, it’s easy to see how the band adored Slade (“Crazy Party”), The Clash (“I Cried, I Died, I Felt Hot”), and Hall & Oates' blue-eyed soul (“I Know”), as well as reggae and ska. This music was produced big for the masses, yet it’s pure blue-collar dance fare (listen to the hit “Love & Pride”). That alone makes it worthy. And singer Paul King’s preternatural charisma drew listeners in. This set collects the hits, killer album cuts, b-sides, and remixes.

Best song ever from the 80's! Heard it today on xm and when i did soundhound, saw that it is available on itunes... Memories of some of the best times of my teenage life. Buy it now!

this is a great one to download, the bassist is laying down some nasty lines on love and pride,soul on my boots is another nice track.....Peace

Paul King is KING
I HIGHLY RECOMMEND this album. This brings back so many fond memories of my youth. I remember the lyrics to all these songs and I still have the cassette!!
