Der Literarische Salon ist ein Forum für Kultur Medien und Gesellschaft an der Leibniz Universität Hannover und verbindet Kultur, Wissenschaft und Technik.
Der Literarische Salon bietet als Schnittstelle zwischen Universität und Außenwelt allen Interessierten die Gelegenheit, das Kulturgeschehen als einfallsreiche und lebendige Gesprächskultur wahrzunehmen. Im 14. OG des ehemaligen Conti-Gebäudes werden Personen und Themen aus den Bereichen Literatur, Wissenschaft, Medien, Theater, Film und Kunst vorgestellt – in ungezwungener Atmosphäre, durch Lesungen, Vorträge, moderierte Gespräche und nicht zuletzt durch den Austausch zwischen Gästen und Publikum.
Der Salon wird seit April 1999 von verschiedenen öffentlichen Institutionen und Stiftungen sowie privaten Förderern unterstützt. Seitdem finden die Veranstaltungen des Salons unabhängig von den Semesterzeiten statt.
