There's just over a week to go on the WFMU Documentary Kickstarter Campaign! Thanks to everybody who has helped out so far - the documentary is called "Freeform or Death" and it's being made by listener / filmmaker Tim Smith with the full cooperation and good wishes of WFMU. You can become part of the film by pledging to the Kickstarter campaign by clicking here. There's a batch of swag to thank you for doing so, from the legendary WFMU Chris Ware T-shirt to your own subliminal message in the final film.
WFMU's new Summer Schedule is now in effect and runs until November 12! Some old shows return and some new people join our dysfunctional radio famille. You can see an incredibly ugly and voluminous list version of the new schedule here.
The first batch of MP3s from WFMU's 2012 Primavera Sound broadcast are now available for free download at the Free Music Archive, featuring tracks by Mudhoney, Liturgy, Milk Music, The Men, Obits, & Michael Gira.
Wow. Radio Boredcast, a 744-hour extravaganza of avant-garde audio curated by People Like Us / Vicki Bennett is posted on the WFMU Website and ready for your ears: Link. Radio Boredcast celebrates the detail, complexity and depth of experience lost through our obsession with speed. Created by Vicki for the UK's 2012 AV Festival, and featuring gobs of WFMU DJs, this unique and colossal archive is accessible for Listen on Demand at WFMU.

Where's my swag? If you haven't received your Marathon swag in the mail yet, fear not. We have made a dent in our giant pile of swag requests but we've got a long way to go. Thanks for your patience, grasshopper. By the way, if you still haven't paid your pledge and need a payment form mailed to you, please contact Joe McGasko and he'll send out a replacement form.
Joining Jeffrey Davison on the Shrunken Planet on Saturday, July 7th from 6-9am: Singer-songwriter Meg Baird is a member of the band Espers and also half of the Baird Sisters with sister Laura. Meg has released two gorgeous solo LPs, "Dear Companion", and "Seasons on Earth". As a singer, she will call to mind some of the greats of both the American and UK folk tradition. As a guitarist, she is quiet yet dazzling. She moves effortlessly between her own poetic songs and covers, making them indelibly hers. Tune in!
The WFMU time is now 12:28am EDT on Monday.
