David Fox is a New York based artist, writer, playwright, poet and musician. As a polymath, his practice is cross-disciplinary embracing a wide variety of media. Originally from London, he has lived in New York since the 80’s. His work has been exhibited in New York, across the USA and in Europe. It has appeared in many publications, including recently, prints for two volumes of poems American poet Sam Hamill, Fatal Pleasure, published by Corvinus Presse, Berlin. Five of his political works were published alongside an article for Harpers magazine written by renowned Human Rights activist and lawyer Scott Horton.
He is a prolific song-writer, has performed many times in New York clubs and has produced a number of CDs. Fox has collaborated with video artists composing music for numerous New Music performances in The States and Europe.
His plays Self Portrait, Saul and Paul were performed at The Hudson Valley Center for Contemporary Art in New York, and another play, What’s on Your Mind was performed on Off Off Broadway, New York.
He will exhibit new work in Berlin, 2017 and is working on a book of his collected poems accompanied by prints to be published also in 2017.
