Lore Segal: Kurzbiografie

Geboren am 8. März 1928 in Wien als Lore Groszmann; 1939 Flucht mit einem Kindertransport nach Großbritannien; 1945-1948 Studium der englischen Literatur an der University of London; 1951 Ãœbersiedlung nach New York; seit 1959 Veröffentlichung von Essays, Kurzgeschichten, Kinderbüchern und Romanen; seit 1968 lehrt Lore Segal "creative writing" und englische Literatur an verschiedenen amerikanischen Universitäten;  sie lebt in New York.
2018 wurde sie in Wien mit dem Theodor Kramer-Preis für Schreiben im Widerstand und Exil ausgezeichnet.
