The "Casually Pepper Spray Everything Cop" became a popular meme after a police officer pepper sprayed student protesters at the University of California Davis during the Occupy movement.
A few months later, the controversy faded and so did the associated Tumblr.

Before Chicks With Steve Buscemi Eyes, a similar Tumblr had some fun with Muppet eyes. The trend even inspired someone to create the opposite: People With Muppet Eyes.
After the most well-known characters were photoshopped, the Tumblr quit.

Ryan Gosling became subject of the "Hey Girl" meme after this Tumblr captioned images, which Gosling was asked to read out loud on television.
This led to Feminist Ryan Gosling and a series of other meta-memes, like Hey Girl, It's Paul Ryan. The original has since called it quits.

This bread-infused Tumblr was so unique, there's really no way to explain it without viewing for yourself.
The joke carried over to the blog Cheese People, but both have since stopped posting.
