      Amongst the old gags are some bad "facts." The Bolivia flats don't "stretch for nearly 6500 miles." That would take up the whole continent of S. America. They might cover 6500 square miles, or about 100 mi. x 65 mi....a little bigger than the Bonneville Salt flats in Utah. Nice photos though.

        and if you want to count the Great Salt Lake (it's about 4000 square miles by itself ,100 miles x 40 miles) the lake and the flats are probably bigger. and you would think that a supposedly educated tv personality would have the brains to figure out that what he was saying was completely wrong and fix it.

        I wonder if salt is causing that. I think its because of how the high tide has been affected by drought. It seems they have a rather extensive low tide.
