LiquidFeedback 2.0 released

The Public Software Group [1] released a new major version of LiquidFeedback. The developers presented LiquidFeedback 2.0 during an event held by the Interaktive Demokratie [2] association, which promotes the use of electronic media for democratic processes. The most important improvements are:

  • Support for multiple organizational units, e.g. sub divisions
  • New user interface
  • An integrated email notification system
  • A programming interface with read and write access (still in alpha stage for use by developers)
  • Improved implementation of Schulze method for preference voting with detailed configuration of supermajority requirements [3]
  • Removed auto-reject and vote later feature to simplify the system
  • Integration of Etherpad Lite [4] with automatic creation of issue discussion rooms and single sign-on
  • Wiki formatting for suggestions, member statements and comments

LiquidFeedback 2.0 is available for download at the official release page [5] and can be used under the conditions of the MIT license [6].
