After 10 years, Welcome Back, Paula Cole

being a fan of paula's from day one, has it many awards. but waiting 10 years for a new album is soul-draining. i am not sure if i am the only one, but i can listen to a paula cole album over and over again and still, it never gets old. so, with this new album coming out -- and new single out now -- is a great way to become re-obsessed. in this song, paula sings "So I stopped talking and fade to bleak/Feeling insignificant after feeling weak/Even though it's not who I know myself to be/The queen, the confidence doesn't speak/..." we can feel her pain, we can feel the journey that she has taken. and it's a great feeling -- being a huge fan, paula returns to who she was suppose to be. and i love it. the song is filled with so much emotion, that you can actually feel her telling her story. at the closing of the song, she sings "This mighty woman's ready to explode..." and i CANNOT wait to hear what she has in stored. so ... if you are a fan of Paula's or a newbie -- get this new single, it will do wonders and you will feel REDEEMED!!!!!!

Finally

Paula Cole is one of the finest artists out there. We've been waiting for something - this is a great first song....solid and beautiful.

WOW!

This song is quite brilliant. Soaring vocals. Great lyrics (co-written with long time Madonna collaborator, Patrick Leonard). Hopefully this song will return Paula to center stage where she belongs!

Paula Cole was one of the many female singer/songwriters who rose to prominence in the mid-'90s in the wake of alternative's commercial breakthrough. Drawing heavily from the ethereal, pretty sound of Sarah McLachlan and Tori Amos, she created songs that relied equally on dreamy melodies and poetic, introspective lyrics. Although she continued recording music during the 2000s, Cole's...
