iTunes Editors’ Notes

Just seconds into their self-titled debut, it becomes clear that Jungle aren’t mere revivalists. Moody and wholly immersive, “The Heat” is a serpentine opener whose viral success helped stoke rampant interest in this mysterious, long-anonymous London duo. Like the rest of Jungle, it boasts a liquid marriage between the gilded, falsetto-fied funk of the '70s and the rain-spackled atmospherics of their home city’s formative strain of post-dubstep. Whether it’s the sparse, guitar-driven impressionism of “Platoon” or the at-times disorienting, near-psychedelic soul of “Lucky I Got What I Want,” the result is familiar yet modern, immediate yet haunting.

Customer Reviews

Looking forward to this with great anticipation.

The released singles so far are solid. A superbly refreshing take on the Electronic genre with a hint of throwback to the R&B/Soul of the 1970s.

Jungle

I found Jungle while surfing. All of their songs (several) are 5 stars plus. Excited about upcoming album!
Mellow "BeeGees' sound.

Stellar stuff!

This album is most definitely a winner for fans of indie, alternative, and electronic. The most popular song (for good reason) is easily "Busy Earnin", however there are plenty of other gems. Picking up the entire album won't leave you listening to only a select few. All of the songs are amazing in their own way, and they all make you groove, tap your feet, and bob your head. Great stuff, I really hope this band gets it's due reputation and can really take off. Lots of potential.
