Customer Reviews

"Feel It"? Indeed!

Wow - what a great album from a multi-talented artist. Critics have been raving about this collection and I can see why. So authentic... I first heard a snippet of "Feel It" on iTunes and immediately fell for it. The album wasn't released yet, so I recorded the snippet on my iPhone and played it for the last three weeks. (Desperate? Yes. Dorky? Hell yes.) But just try getting that chorus out of your head. Other gems like "Waiting for a Feeling" and "A New Word to Say" speak for themselves. Thanks for such great new music, BLX2. I'll be following your ascent and rooting for you the whole way...

What a collection

Rod Thomas' enormous talent is finally on display in a debut "collection" with zero filler. Poignant and full of energy.

Finally, a man who can compete with Neil Tennant and Chris Lowe for finely crafted British pop/dance music.

Unique and truly amazing

If I have any beef with this album, it's that as a fan I've heard half these tracks already in various EPs/singles/downloads. But that's about it. Though I think he's known in London for his 90s club nights, here Bright Light Bright Light AKA Rod Thomas shows his range. Love Part II is a great anthem, and How to Make a Heart is really very poignant. Disco Moment is very evocative of Robyn's Body Talk trilogy. Let's hope he crosses over to the U.S. more often!

In 2006 he released several singles under his own name through his own label, Self Raising Records, before creating Bright Light Bright Light, apparently...
