Editors’ Notes

TV on the Radio's fifth album sounds as fresh as their debut, proving that the band's incandescent fusion of alt, world, and electronic influences remains as inimitable today as it was in 2004. There are subtle tweaks to the formula, though: producer and founding member David Sitek employs a warmer sonic palette, and the songs aren't as frenetic. With its lockstep drums and whirring guitars, the single "Happy Idiot" nods to the saccharine precision of The Cars, while the horn section on "Could You" lends vibrancy to the song's motorik pulse. Seeds manages the neat trick of being the band's most accessible release to date while still being characteristically adventurous.

So gooood

It's like wandering around a city of Starbucks and finally finding a rocking coffeehouse that serves the good stuff.

tv on the radio is back!

i'm SO excited for this album!!!

Soulful and Comprehensive

An album surrounded by thick atmosphere of melencholy, bliss, turmoil; It's all there, but in new packaging, with more layers, and more creativity.

No doubt, the music is heading in the right direction. They've stayed in touch with their past while embracing change. Seeds is a large improvement on their last attempt. They nailed it this time around.

It's not without its flaws and filler tracks, largely 'Winter', Quartz, and 'Love Stained', but even so, there's something you can appreciate in every song. At it's worset, it's still worth putting on in the background, while att its best, you can't prevent yourself from singing along and bobbing your head.

The group began when multi-instrumentalist/producer David Andrew Sitek moved into the building where vocalist Tunde Adebimpe had a loft; each of them had been recording music on his own, but realized their sounds worked well together....
