iTunes Review

The second volume of Timbaland’s landmark Shock Value is even more audacious than the original. While there are appearances from the mainstays of Timbaland’s clique (Nelly Furtado, Justin Timberlake, Keri Hilson), the majority of Shock Value II is devoted to collaborations with new protégés. “If We Ever Meet Agin” (with Katy Perry) and “We Belong to the Music (with Miley Cyrus) continue Tim’s primary interest, which is transforming unlikely partners with his dazzling and futuristic club beats. His songs with Daughtry and the Fray are solid, although those band’s individual styles seem to overtake Timbaland’s idiosyncratic concepts. The anthemic “Marchin On” (with OneRepublic) presents a more even match-up. As one might expect, the Timberlake and Furtado songs are the album’s strongest, although songs with JoJo (“Lose Control”) and R&B singer Brandy (who reinvents herself as Bran’ Nu for “Symphony” and “Meet In Tha Middle”) could earn those singers places on Tim’s regular roster. “Timothy Where You Been” interpolates Australian rock band Jet’s 2003 song “Timothy,” as Timbaland relives his recent successes and shouts out his famous friends.

Shock Value II has finally dropped!

Super-producer Timbaland is back with his latest installment..Shock Value 2!
Although it doesn't live up to its predecessor and was plauged with shamefully terrible marketing...Shock Value II is filled with tremendous talent! Timbaland strategically got hot artists like Soshy, Jojo, Katy Perry, Bran'Nu, Daughtry, Miley Cyrus, and Nickelback's Chad Kroeger to jump on board...and quite exceptionally takes them to places they've never been musically. Some might complain the album lacks the rawness of Shock Value 1...but that was Timbaland's goal. Timbaland set out to create a generic pop album...and sure enough, he got the job done. Timbaland's use of auto-tune can be repetitve at times, but the catchiness of his different hooks and chorus's cannot be overlooked. The beats on the album (as expected) are phenomenal.I personally recommend to listen to the album from start to finish to get the full shock value experience. Buy this album today and support the best producer in the game...the one and only...Timbaland.

If you're into buying singles instead...Purchase:
"Can You Feel It", "Morning After Dark", "Tomorrow in the Bottle", "Say Something", "If We Ever Meet Again", "Lose Control", "Meet in the Middle", "Timothy Where You Been", and "Undertow"

Those are the tracks that stand out the most.
I personally prefer the original version of One Republic's "Marchin On".

Not as good as SV1

the album is a let down i was actually expecting it to be better then the first shock value but that was not the case Carry out seems the only decent song on the album

Biography

Born: March 10, 1971 in Norfolk, VA

Genre: Hip-Hop/Rap

Years Active: '90s, '00s, '10s

Timbaland ascended to the top of the pop industry in the late '90s, impressively balancing his in-demand hitmaking abilities with his outlandish production style. Few rap producers were capable of such a balance between commerce and craft. Timbaland produced an endless list of hits, primarily for a select group of affiliates (Missy Elliott, Aaliyah, Jay-Z, Ginuwine) though also for a number of other A-list artists (Ludacris, Snoop Dogg, Nas, Justin Timberlake). Even so, he always infused a remarkable...
