Introduction: How to share your library card
In Germany, to get a library card, you usually have to present a German ID, a residence permit, and/or “accommodation certificate” from the refugee accommodation you’re supposed to be living in. This makes getting a library card for people without papers almost impossible. Sharing a library card might make a difference.
Step 1: Register for Library Cards
If you have the required papers, register for a library card at as many libraries as you can.
