Verified Purchase
Not as opulent in detail or character development as some of Mr. Furst's later novels, but his writing in this earlier work is compact and enjoyable.

A very close parallel and a very intelligent insight into the existing world of corporate intelligence and espionage
Reviewed in the United States on February 28, 2014
I finally found a copy......
A very good read that builds slowly without dramatic explosions of mayhem and violence.
It is a very close parallel and a very intelligent insight into the existing world of corporate intelligence and espionage that is a multi-million dollar industry today in 2014. The characters are very skillfully drawn and very real.
I recommend it to any fan of Alan Furst work.
