We bring the jazz experience directly to communities through programs presented in venues throughout Chicago. 99% of our programs are free and open to the public. Our programs keep Chicago jazz musicians working by creating a wide array of performance opportunities, build bigger audiences for Chicago jazz by presenting concerts and festivals that are free and available for all and keep our community thriving.

View fullsize Join us for the in-person show, A Tribute to Thelonious Monk, featuring 2020-21 New Works Fresh Voices awardee Juli Wood (@_juliwood) and her ensemble Little Rootie Tootie at the historic Jazz Showcase. July 28th | Sets at 8pm & 10pm @jazz_showcase 806 S. Plymouth Court | Chicago Free Admission Proof of Vaccination Required Juli was inspired by vocalist and lyricist Mike Ferro to write her own lyrics to several Monk tunes. Along with band members Katie Ernst (@katieernstjazz) (bass), Dustin Laurenzi (@dustin.laurenzi) (sax), and Greg Artry (@gregartry) (drummer); Juli presents interpretations of Monk's tunes and some of her own tunes inspired by his unique genius. This event is part of the New Works, Fresh Voices program supported by the Andrew W. Mellon Foundation (@mellonfdn). #JazzinChicago #NWFV
