Design is Terrible.

The new design is terrible. Not sure who had the idea of that giant grey bar at the top. It needs to be reverted to the older version.
Thanks

Almost there...

I was a huge fan of Tweetie before it became Twitter for Mac. Version 2.1 feels exactly like Tweetie did: slick interface and smooth animations. However I was a fan of the now "classic" look Twitter for Mac had. This version fixed the Spaces bug that was present in 2.0.x, and finally adds some much-needed features like auto user and hashtag completion, but there's a few UI elements that need adjustment. The titlebar is way too thick and could use a few less pixels in it.

All that's missing now is syncing between Twitter for Mac and Twitter for iOS and it'll be perfect.

Update for 2.1.1: "Classic" mode still does not work correctly, and titlebar still looks too thick and out of place, but otherwise no notable changes.

Incomplete

Whereas the iPhone version is not as full-featured as some other apps, it is at least self-contained. I can see who I'm following and who is following me all without leaving the app. In the desktop version, if I want to see those lists, the app opens up a browser window. Everything else is done in-app, so far as I can tell, so this makes no sense. If I wanted to use Twitter in my web browser, I would've opened up a browser window. What's the point of having an app that requires I visit the site for anything, let alone two of the most basic things?
