Sharon Stone is still exposed twenty years after ‘Basic Instinct’

(Photo: Kristy Sparow/Getty Images)At 54, Sharon Stone is still turning heads. The actress attended an amfAR event in Paris on Thursday donning a sheer top that left little to the imagination.

The star-studded HIV/AIDS foundation event was also attended by movie producer Brian Grazer, director Sofia Coppola and burlesque performer Dita Von Teese.

While Stone's wardrobe malfunction seems cringe-worthy, it is not altogether surprising since twenty years ago she was flashing her crotch to Michael Douglas in the 1992 psycho-sexual thriller "Basic Instinct" -- easily her most memorable film scene to date.

In spite of her off-the-wall clothing choice, exposing her underboobs (hey, isn't that trend over by now?), it should be noted Stone is looking pretty great for her age.

Stone hasn't been in a  whole lot of films of note since about 2005 in Jim Jarmusch's "Broken Flowers," starring Billy Murray.

(Photo: Everett Collection) But she appears to be in the midst of a late-career renaissance, with six projects in the hopper.

The first one on deck is the much-anticipated porn star biopic "Lovelace," starring Amanda Seyfried and James Franco. In the film, Stone plays Linda Lovelace's mother Dorothy Boreman.

Stone has five other films set to come out over the next two years: Comedic drama "Gods Behaving Badly," starring Christopher Walken and Alicia Silverstone (Stone plays Aphrodite); thriller "The Mule," also starring Billy Zane; John Turturro-directed comedy "Fading Gigolo," also starring Woody Allen and Sofia Vergara; thriller "Attachment"; and another thriller "The Beauty of Sharks," also starring Bill Nighy and Faye Dunaway.

Do Yahoo! writers get a bonus every time they use the terms "cringe-worthy" or "jaw-dropping?"

It's better than 'wows', 'sizzles', or 'stuns'.

I think that the exposure shows desperation for attention, unbecoming to someone of her age. Same goes to Madonna, another desperate egotist. What happened to women's lib? These gals are pieces of meat.

It's not. The ONLY people who think it is are the extremely immature ones on here who are in their early 20's on down.

what is SO ridiculous about all of these stars they say 'look so great' for their age...come on- if they did not have the procedures to look so great, they'd look aged like the rest of us. BARF

In this day and age, you can't find 1 in 10 women with a figure like that who is under 34.

She is looking very good...wonder how that suit with the Nanny went?. Last time I saw her was the film "Catwoman" Which I thought was very campy?.but Sharon was the Villain ? ..though Halle still more sexy, though also more aggravating!.

Never did understand all the hype about that one scene in Basic Instinct -- honestly, you really can't see much at all.

she looks pretty good for 54, but you can bet if you were to see her first thing in the morning she would not be all that ... hours of hard work to get ready for the cameras for sure.

      • ... 13 hours ago
She had an aneurysm, not a tumor as far as I know. She recovered pretty well from what I can see.

age is nothing but a number. but beauty and wisdom is measured by it!! the diference is youthful beauty isn't so graceful, and youthful wisdom lacks!!
