[close] Reading Peace is a book club exploring topics in mindfulness and Buddhism in daily life in a way that is accessible and relevant to today. We meet online and offline as a community reading together for the benefit of all beings in order to create a more just and joyful world. We are the official book club of Parallax Press, a nonprofit publisher founded by Thich Nhat Hanh. As a result, group members gain exclusive access to steep discounts on book club picks and other perks every month. The club picks a Parallax Press book to read as a group every month, receiving a significant discount on that book for the duration of the month so that as many people can participate. This group is maintained by Jason Kim, Digital Content Director at Parallax Press (jason@parallax.org), in partnership with Plumline.org which members can use to create virtual meetings for club members to discuss, study, and read books together.
