100,000 subscribers. This is a milestone that I never thought I would hit. Back two years ago I was just a small YouTube doing it for the love of the video games and being able to showcase my creativity with montages, commentaries and overall just having fun playing games like call of duty, UFC, and Forza. Looking back at it I’m very lucky that I was able to break out the way I did, since lets face it everyone’s doing YouTube now.
A lot of my success came from being singed with Machinima sports and with this opportunity I was able to showcase my videos on their channel to thousands of people. To be honest I don’t know if I would even be here today if it wasn’t for that start. I’ve had a lot of questions like how did you get signed, how did you start getting views, getting subscribers. Dedication I think is the answer.
For a lot of people cars are second nature, engines, make, models, and motorsports. For me I always grew up loving cars, I remember growing up and going to the drag races and small dirt open wheel cars. I had a huge collection of toy cars when I was a kid that I would play with for hours For me I never really knew anything else other then how the cars looked from the outside. Forza Motorsport changed that. It sparked something that made me want to look more into these cars I grew up admiring other then just what they looked like from the outside.
I remember the day like it was yesterday. I got a used Xbox from a friend for cheap and a copy of Forza motorsport 2. The next month I sold my ps3. I remembering the attention to detail that Forza offered. For me the little things matter and seeing something simple as the rotors heating up when you came to a stop was enough for me to see that this game was going to be something I wouldn’t be putting down sometime soon. The more I played the more I loved it. The customization back in Forza 2 allowed you to express yourself more then any game offered at the time.
You never really experienced Forza motorsport until you selected the menu saying ONLINE. This brought you into a world of other car enthusiast that shared the same passion for cars, racing and DRIFTING. I can’t really remember the first time I saw someone drift, but I I was hooked. That’s all I did in Forza 2,Drift. I remember going into a created lobby saying drifter’s welcome! And loosing hours and hours going around the same sections trying to find that perfect line, the perfect angle, the perfect speed, and most importantly the PERFECT TANDEM. Spending countless hours tuning the same car and trying to get the perfect setup.
Fast forward to today and drifting is something that is slowly dyeing in Forza motorsport and it’s sad and frustrating to see. Drifting is the reason why I still play forza. Drifting is the reason why I have met all these close friends on xbox. Drifting is my home on xbox . you will never understand how it feel to be door to door in a 4 man tandem train until your actually in one. The way your in control of a out of control car is something like art if you can call it that. The way you express yourself by your line, by your car choice, by your paint, Is the reason why I still play Forza to this day.
This youtube ride has been a crazy ride and to be truthful with everyone I really don’t know how long I can keep doing youtube but I will say that if it all ended tomorrow I would be more then happy with the way everything turned out. I don’t think I could have asked for a better subscriber base then the people that are here now watching this. I thank everyone, from the 1st person who subscribed to me to the 100,000 subscriber I thank everyone for being apart of this.
Keep Drifting Alive…
