Born 1972 in Brno, Czech Republic;
Emigrated to Austria in 1979;
Studied Bohemian Languages and Literature and Journalism at the University of Vienna;
Worked for several years as a lecturer at the Vienna University Department of Sport Science;
Lives in Vienna, freelancing as a writer, translator (of Patrik Ourednik and Jiri Grusa among others) and lecturer.
Most recent lectureships: Stefan Zweig poetry chair at the University of Salzburg, literature seminar at the University of Bamberg.
