Andreas Marschall (editing, script, direction) started his career as a comic-artist for Heavy Metal and U-Comix, among others. He designed film posters, book illustrations and more than 300 LP-covers.
In the 90s he started his career as a director. One of his first projects was the horror movie – music video – documentary crossover „Hallucinative Comas“ (1991) with the rock group „Kreator“, which was released in US, Japan, Great Britain and Germany. Since then Andreas shot over 60 video clips, among them music videos for bands like Moonspell, Extrabreit or Guano Apes, as well as advertising and industry films.
He also worked as an editor on films like „Track“(also co-director, 1999), „Soweit die Füsse tragen“ („As Fahr As My Feet Will Carry Me“ 2001) and several TV-series.
In 2004 he made his feature film debut with „Tears of Kali” who became an instant festival hit and was sold in most major key territories. In 2011 Andreas Marschall returns to the big screen with his tribute to the maestros of the Italian genre cinema like Riccardo Freda, Mario Bava, Sergio Martino and Dario Argento: „Masks”.
