Awesome!
So glad this companion album was released. I was so desperate for the other version of 'Back To Black' that was played in the film and here it is. Now if we can just get the actual score I'll be a happy man.
The film was much better then the reviews led you to believe...but the soundtrack is still a far superior piece of art. I liked the film but I love the soundtrack. The 'Back To Black' and 'Young And Beautiful' cuts are the standouts but every track here is a delicious slice of music. Mr Luhrmann knows how to put together a brilliant soundtrack!
When Music Was Music
There are countless old souls in this world, and I'm one of them. I crave this music and often find myself lost in it's mysterious tones. It inspires me and drives me in ways modern music can't. I'm not sure what it is but regardless I am VERY pleased that this album was released. Fantastic recordings from an even more fantastic film.
Vintage!
It has the perfect vintage sound with epic tweaks to modern music. The jazz and even slight swing sound comes through perfectly. Love it
