Marvel's Guardians of the Galaxy is a breath of fresh air among comic book blockbusters: its characters are as goofy as they are endearing ("I Am Groot!"), and its anti-star, Chris Pratt, anchors the flick with swashbuckling good humor as Peter Quill. Central to the movie's tone and plot is its soundtrack. A mix of '70s tunes bequeathed to Quill by his late mother, it's the hero's only reminder of home. Blue Suede's strutting version of "Hooked on a Feeling" mirrors Quill's shoot-from-the-hip swagger. It's joined by chestnuts like Norman Greenbaum's "Spirit in the Sky," Elvin Bishop's "Fooled Around and Fell in Love," and 10cc's "I'm Not in Love." The analog glow emanating from this mix calls for serious chillaxing, provided there aren't any menacing aliens nearby.

We need this.
Our generation's music is so different from what we used to have and what we used to have was INCREDIBLE. And to see a movie like this meant for this generation to see and have all these songs. This was needed. Thank you Marvel.
