SHE DID IT AGAIN!
Mariah proves year after year that she keeps getting better. Memoirs is without a doubt her best album of the 21st century and is sure to be a fan favorite. She shows that she still has THE VOICE and that it really never left without overdoing it in her smooth stone grooves. Every song flows into the next seamlessly. Without a doubt the best album of 2009 and some of Mariah's greatest work.
"angel" very diff't album from this butterfly
Mariah often talks about her albums "telling a story from begining to end" and I don't know that I ever especially saw it like that...but this time around its clear. From "obsessed" to "I want to know what love is", you take a journey through diff't facets of relationships: love, loss and romance.
Her singing...the good thing is that its not stacked behind the music like on "mimi", but the bad is that she doesn't sing OUT very often and just coos words over counter-melodies.
There are loads of songs, maybe a few too many. Check out "ribbon" and "angels cry".

I wanted to write this before the mariah "haters" take over without even buying the album. This album is simply amazing. Once you listen to it a few times you fall in love with it. In fact an associated press reviewer commented 'while no one is perfect, this is.' so before the haters take over, listen for yourself the album is amazing. Angels Cry is my personal favorite. As well as "I Want to Know What Love Is"
