The Grey Poupon of Pop

I honestly had low expectations. I do not know Italian, I will be honest. I thought this would be a more traditional recording for some reason. Coming from such a blissfully ignorant place, I can gleefully report that this is such an amazing recording. Her performance here is proof that her instrument is God given for sure. The songs are all wonderful and if you look up the lyrics you will enjoy them even more. La Gatta sure gets almost Moloko-like with some eery sonic landscaping and Maurice almost seems to want to come out to play in parts (Maurice is not some smooth French dude but Roisin’s voice closed down). She just uses such range that it gets real interesting, Trust me, this is good stuff. Has Roisin ever disappointed?

This is a wonderful EP

This record is great. Roisin's voice sounds so soft, emotional, yet powerful at the same time.

Roisin at her best

I have been a fan and follower of Roisin since Moloko’s 1995’s DO YOU LIKE MY TIGHT SWEATER. This EP is just one more reason to love her, it’s super slick, the production is top notch, and of course Roisin’s vocals just kill it.

On her own at 16, Murphy had no aspirations to sing until she met producer Mark Brydon, with whom she formed...
